Overview

WrappedM by M0 (WM) is a wrapped version of M, the stablecoin issued through the M0 protocol, implemented as an ERC-20 token for use on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible networks. M0 positions itself as an issuance infrastructure layer in which approved minters deposit eligible collateral, such as short-term U.S. Treasury instruments, in order to mint M.

WM is created by depositing the underlying M token into a wrapper contract and can be unwrapped back into M. The wrapper structure is used to handle differences in rebasing and yield attribution and to improve compatibility with DeFi protocols that expect a standard, non-rebasing ERC-20 balance. Details on collateral composition, supply and yield distribution policy are published by M0 and can be verified through on-chain data.
