Venus(XVS)

Overview

Venus (XVS) is the governance token of Venus Protocol, a decentralized money market built on BNB Chain. The protocol uses algorithmic interest rate models that let users supply crypto assets to earn interest or post collateral to borrow other assets. It launched in 2020 and has since expanded to additional networks including Ethereum and Optimism.

XVS holders can submit and vote on governance proposals covering protocol parameters, new asset listings, and risk settings. Venus also supports the minting of VAI, a synthetic stablecoin designed to track the US dollar. The token has a capped maximum supply of 30 million XVS.
