Overview
VanEck Treasury Fund (VBILL) is a tokenized money market-style fund issued by the asset manager VanEck that seeks to maintain a stable value of $1 per token. Dividends accrue daily and are paid directly to investors' wallets in the form of newly issued tokens. This structure lets holders reflect the yield of the underlying portfolio while keeping the token on a blockchain.
The fund invests only in cash, U.S. Treasury obligations backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, and repurchase agreements collateralized by such obligations and cash. Holdings have maturities of 397 days or less, with a dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity of 60 days or less and an average portfolio life of 120 days or less. It may also hold underlying pooled vehicles that invest in the same types of securities, including investment companies registered under the U.S. Investment Company Act of 1940, as well as stablecoins and similar yield-bearing digital asset instruments.
