Data Network (DATA) is a purpose-built layer 1 blockchain designed to register the intellectual property (IP) of AI-related data on-chain and make it programmable. It focuses on tokenizing many types of IP, including images, AI models, and individual datapoints used to train frontier models.

The network embeds usage terms, attribution, and royalty agreements directly into the blockchain, aiming to provide a transparent and decentralized approach to IP management for AI data. The stated goal is to let AI data holders protect contributors' source contributions, collaborate with AI companies, and establish revenue mechanisms around data usage. DATA is the token used within this network.
