Rootstock Infrastructure Framework(RIF)

Overview

Rootstock Infrastructure Framework (RIF) is the token of the Rootstock ecosystem, a Bitcoin sidechain, and is designed to complement Bitcoin rather than compete with it. RIF is intended to support the adoption of Rootstock, Bitcoin's DeFi layer, by powering incentives, infrastructure and interoperability across the network.

RIF is used for community rewards, governance and grants on RootstockCollective, the community hub for Rootstock. It also underpins core infrastructure for Bitcoin DeFi on Rootstock, including USDRIF, a stablecoin built around censorship resistance, and RNS, a naming service that simplifies wallet addresses. The token is available on major exchanges as well as several chains and dApps.
