Pearl(PRL)

Overview

Pearl (PRL) is a Layer 1 protocol built around Proof-of-Useful-Work, a design in which mining is produced natively from AI computation rather than from standalone hashing. At its core is a reimplementation of matrix multiplication, the fundamental GPU operation, so that proof-of-work is generated as a side effect of GPU-based AI training and inference workloads.

The stated aim is to let a single hardware resource serve both AI computation and blockchain consensus at once, which the project describes as intertwining energy, data, and money into one atomic digital asset.
