PAX Gold(PAXG)

Overview

PAX Gold (PAXG) is an asset-backed token in which one token represents one fine troy ounce of a London Good Delivery gold bar held in professional vault facilities. Holders have ownership rights to that gold, which is held in custody by Paxos Trust Company. Because each token represents physical gold, PAXG's value is tied directly to the real-time market value of that gold.

PAXG combines the characteristics of owning specific physical bars with the speed and mobility of a digital asset, including fractional ownership of a bar. On the Paxos platform, tokens can be converted to allocated gold, unallocated gold, or fiat currency and back, and PAXG is also traded on Paxos' itBit exchange as well as other crypto exchanges, wallets, and lending platforms. Holders can look up the serial number, value, and physical characteristics of their vaulted gold at any time by entering their Ethereum wallet address in the lookup tool at Paxos.com/paxgold.
