Ozone Chain(OZO)

Overview

Ozone Chain (OZO) is a layer-1 blockchain designed around quantum-resistant security. It integrates quantum random numbers (QRN) generated from a laser source together with lattice-based post-quantum cryptography (PQC), applying the latter to inter-node communications. That architectural choice reflects the geographical limits of quantum key distribution (QKD), which in current implementations works only over a few hundred kilometres and is ill-suited to globally distributed nodes.

The network is EVM compatible, so developers can deploy smart contracts and build dApps using Ethereum-style tooling. It runs on a Proof of Authority consensus with IBFT/QBFT protocols, targets roughly 5-second block times, and is positioned as a low-fee environment. OZO is the network's native token, used for transaction fees and for voting-based governance, and the project states that its quantum security technologies have been tested and certified by TÜV.
