Overview
OUSG (Ondo Short-Term U.S. Government Bond Fund) is a tokenized asset issued by Ondo Finance that is designed to provide on-chain exposure to short-term U.S. Treasury bills. The majority of the portfolio is allocated to short-duration Treasury products such as the iShares Short Treasury Bond ETF (SHV), with a smaller allocation to USDC and U.S. dollars held for liquidity. The fund is overseen by Ondo Capital Management, a subsidiary of Ondo Finance.
Ondo Finance launched in August 2021 and initially operated Ondo Vaults, a structured finance protocol on Ethereum, followed by a Liquidity-as-a-Service offering. After winding down those V1 products, the team announced Ondo V2 in January 2023, which introduced tokenized funds including OUSG alongside OSTB and OHYG. Access to OUSG tokens requires passing KYC and AML screening and signing subscription documents, reflecting a permissioned, eligibility-based structure.
