Overview

Ondo U.S. Dollar Token (USDON) is a stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 peg to the U.S. dollar, issued by Ondo Finance, a company focused on tokenizing real-world assets. Ondo Finance has built products that bring traditional instruments such as U.S. Treasuries on-chain, and USDON is intended to serve as a settlement and payment layer across that product suite.

USDON is structured to be backed by reserves such as cash and short-term U.S. government securities, with holders able to mint and redeem according to terms set by the issuer.
