Overview

Non-Playable Coin (NPC) is an Ethereum-based meme token inspired by the 'NPC' internet meme that gained popularity around 2018. Its total supply was set to mirror the world's human population as recorded on July 26, 2023, and the project uses the motto 'I support the current coin.'

NPC's defining feature is a dual-format design that lets holders move between an ERC-20 token and an ERC-1155 NFT, which the project calls a meme fungible token (MFT). Through the official dApp, one token can be converted into one NFT or back again at a 1:1 rate, allowing the asset to trade on decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap as well as on NFT marketplaces.
