Overview

Midas mTBILL (MTBILL) is a tokenized real-world asset (RWA) designed to track short-dated US Treasury Bills. Its issuer, Midas, describes it as a permissionless, yield-bearing token, with returns from the underlying short-term government debt accruing to the value of the token itself.

Unlike typical stablecoins that aim to hold a fixed $1 price, mTBILL is structured so its value reflects the net asset value (NAV) of the underlying Treasury portfolio. The token exists as an ERC-20 asset on public blockchains such as Ethereum, allowing free transfer and custody, while primary issuance and redemption follow the issuer's own procedures and eligibility requirements.
