Overview

Lisk (LSK) is one of the longer-running blockchain projects, live since 2016, when it launched as a JavaScript-based sidechain development platform. The project has since repositioned itself as a money operations platform for businesses, where finance and operations teams manage accounts, payments, and approvals in a single workspace and move funds across both fiat and stablecoin rails.

LSK is described by the project as its loyalty token, issued on Base and Ethereum, with Base serving as the primary Layer 2 network. According to the project, businesses will be able to earn rewards for running their money operations on Lisk and for referring other companies, with further LSK utility introduced in phases. The platform targets companies operating across multiple borders, legal entities, and currencies.
