Kaia(KAIA)

Overview

Kaia (KAIA) is an Ethereum-equivalent Layer 1 public blockchain designed to bring Web3 services to users across Asia through popular messenger superapps. It was formed through the merger of the Klaytn and Finschia networks, and KAIA serves as the native token used for transaction fees, staking, and governance.

The network uses an optimized form of Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT) consensus, delivering roughly 1-second block times with immediate absolute finality. According to project documentation, it targets about 4,000 real-world transactions per second, and its EVM compatibility allows existing Solidity-based applications to be ported to the chain.
