Gate (GT) is the platform token issued by Gate, the cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2013 and formerly known as Gate.io. It serves as the native asset of the GateChain network and as a utility token across the exchange ecosystem, with a designed total supply of 300 million tokens.

Holders can use GT for trading fee discounts, participation in startup token sales, and paying network fees on GateChain. The exchange has carried out periodic token burns funded in part by platform revenue to reduce the circulating supply, with burn records published through its official channels.
