GALA

Overview

GALA is the utility token of the Gala Games ecosystem, a blockchain gaming platform founded in 2019 by figures from the gaming and blockchain industries. The project aims to let players own in-game assets as NFTs rather than having them controlled solely by game publishers. GALA is used for payments within the ecosystem, trading game items, and rewarding node operators.

Originally issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, GALA later expanded to GalaChain, the project's own layer-1 network, and operates across multiple chains. Beyond games, the ecosystem has extended into music (Gala Music) and film (Gala Film), with Founder's Node operators participating in network decentralization and governance. The token is listed and traded on major global exchanges.
