Flare(FLR)

Overview

Flare (FLR) is an EVM-based Layer 1 blockchain designed for building applications that are interoperable with other blockchains and the internet. It aims to provide decentralized access to high-integrity external data by building that data infrastructure natively into the protocol.

Its core protocols are the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), which delivers decentralized price and data feeds without relying on centralized providers, and the State Connector, which lets smart contracts use information from other blockchains and the internet. Both are secured by the network itself through a large set of independent data providers, and the native token FLR is used for payments and for transaction fees that deter spam.
