Overview

eBTC (EBTC) is the unified BTC asset issued by Echo, a Bitcoin liquidity aggregation and yield infrastructure layer. Echo is designed to address the fragmentation of BTC liquidity across native BTC, BTC liquid staking tokens (LSTs), and wrapped BTC, simplifying how Bitcoin is integrated into DeFi.

Users can deposit BTC of different standards, receive Echo's unified BTC, and interact with DeFi applications without relying on conventional Bitcoin staking protocols. Echo integrates with native BTC Layer 2 networks such as Babylon, BSquared, and Bitlayer, supports LSTs like PumpBTC and LBTC as well as wrapped tokens like wBTC and fBTC, and uses Proof-of-Reserve to keep accepted BTC assets transparent and verifiable.
