Cortex(CX)

Overview

Cortex (CX) is a project positioned as a protocol for decentralized on-chain AI agents. Its stated thesis is that AI agents will become the primary way users interact with blockchains, progressing in two stages: first human-directed agents, then autonomous agents with their own objective functions.

The protocol has two main components. The Cortex Agent is a generalized trading agent that lets users research coins, trade, and deploy to blockchains through an LLM interface, while the Cortex Agent Platform lets developers permissionlessly deploy task-specific agents with on-chain capabilities. The team is also building Hypercall, an on-chain options product built on top of Hyperliquid.
