Convex Finance(CVX)

Overview

Convex Finance (CVX) is an Ethereum-based DeFi protocol designed to simplify the boosting mechanics of Curve Finance. Curve liquidity providers can deposit their LP tokens into Convex to earn trading fees and boosted CRV rewards without locking CRV themselves, reducing the effort required to access higher yields.

Users who stake CRV through Convex receive trading fees, a share of the boosted CRV earned by liquidity providers, and CVX, the protocol's native token. CVX is used for governance and reward distribution, and because Convex accumulates a large share of Curve's voting power, the protocol is frequently discussed in the context of the so-called Curve Wars.
