Overview

Canton Coin (CC) is the native utility token of the Canton Network, a blockchain designed for digital assets and financial applications. It was designed to reward real network usage rather than speculation, distributing rewards to app builders, app users, and the participants who operate decentralized infrastructure.

This structure differs from models in which rewards accrue mainly to miners or early investors, instead directing them toward those creating value through actual activity. Within the network, CC is used for transaction fees and as the reward mechanism for validation and infrastructure operation.
