Overview
AltLayer is a decentralized protocol that facilitates the launch of rollups, supporting both optimistic and zk rollup stacks. In addition to native rollups, it is designed to let developers deploy so-called restaked rollups that build on Ethereum restaking infrastructure.
Restaked rollups delegate functions such as verification, decentralized sequencing, and faster finality to external operator sets secured by restaked assets. ALT is the network's utility token, used for purposes including protocol fees, staking, and governance.
