Overview

A7A5 is a stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 peg to the Russian Rouble, issued in Kyrgyzstan by the company Old Vector. According to the issuer, backing is held as Rouble deposits at banks whose correspondent networks are linked to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The issuer states that reserve reports are updated weekly and that independent firms conduct quarterly external audits. It also describes a mechanism that automatically distributes 50% of the interest income earned on those deposits to token holders, and says the token operates under the Kyrgyz Republic's Law on Virtual Assets No. 12, enacted on 21 January 2022.
